Yesterday afternoon I spent my time on my desktop computer doing some Fields of Valor runs on FFXI, nothing special, listened to some music while I did it. Shortly after that I turned the desktop into Stand By mode and left it there for the rest of the night. All seemed normal when I went to bed.
However, around noon my brother woke my up quite distressed. "Something is wrong with the desktop." he kept saying to me. "I don't know what to do, I don't know what to do." He was in a panic, he was on the verge of tears because he truly couldn't figure this one out.
Our desktop computer has been struck with a virus. Funny, we just spent SEVENTY dollars on virus protection not that long ago. What happens is its stuck in an infinite loop. It will start up, load start up programs partially and then it will restart again. Over and over and over this process happens. We spent hours upon hours today trying to figure this out.
We tried disabling the start up tasks from happening by clicking "Run..." and tying in msconfig. We disable all and it restarts, however it doesn't seem to save these settings. ( We are trying to disable programs from starting up because we suspect that our virus protection is what causes the computer to restart. We tried booting it up and as soon as we did it restarted again. )
We tried System Restore. We can not access it fast enough before the machine restarts. We have tried about twenty times in a row to time it but its always faster than us because of the initial start up lag.
My question is this; What can I do to fix my computer? Is there even a way to fix it or is it simply bricked? I honestly don't even know if we can do a full system reboot because it doesn't stay on long enough. This is so frustrating to me, so much of my important data is going to be lost because some idiot nerd decided to create this abomination.
I just want my computer to work again. ~_~ I'm scared for my laptop as well, if it dies I'm pretty much screwed out of everything because we have absolutely no money right now.

I am doing a little experiment on what people think is manga and what is western. Like---if something has big eyes, does it make it anime? Or is it the face and bodies? Can people tell them apart these days?
Do these artists here draw manga to you?

Where am I? Who am I? WHAT am I? Why am I here? This place that could be a place, is a place, might a place, is a place, might be, just, is, is not, is, could, should, would, be....WHERE? A territory?....
a base? WHERE? THE LAND OF THE UNKNOWN?
I really should re-read things before a post.

What I've mainly noticed is that these styles truly do reflect where they are from. For example, asians generally do not have prominent noses, longer faces, or very well defined lips. ( Much like anime characters. ) While westerners generally reflect the western cartoon characters; longer faces, defined noses, defined lips.
I think it's all a matter of the face when determining styles, however there are many cases where the styles have merged into one making a unique one, which Chen-san has seemed to do very well. The point is its all a matter of personal taste I think. What I think is western style another might disagree, to each their own.
